Happy New Year to Everyone! As 2009 begins... so do the resolutions! I will take a week or so to think about those.. and get back to the blog with them :o) (lol).
I realized last night at midnight that it was the 25th New Years Eve that Steve and I have spent together. We have never been apart when the clock strikes 12; and last night was no different. When I look back; I think of the dating phase - when we were at major parties with lots of people and heavy partying;.. then I go to the baby phase - when the kids were young and just the two of us would ring in the New Year together while the kids slept. As the kids got older... we had the bigger kids phase - they could stay up and we could attend parties together with friends and their kids. Last night was a bit different. The kids were invited to parties of their own... and so were Steve and I. We all rang in the New Year in different houses. Cameron spent the evening with his girlfriend, Allyson and Nick at a neighbors, and Steve and I partied at Lynn and John's house. Right after 12 we all reunited at home. Times are beginning to change... the kids are getting older... and last night we realized how much being together at midnight means!
I hope everyone had a safe and Happy New Year. Looking forward to spending time with family and friends in 2009.
