So... I was trying to beautify myself (it's hard to do) and I went to get my toes done with the girls. There we sat. Me, Jenny and Coleen. We were trying very hard to understand everything we were being asked by the gal that was helping us. She said "Afta pedcure, you wan you eyebrow wax?" I said. No... I have never done that before. Today is NOT when I am going to do that.
Jenny says "Come On!, don't be scared... it doesn't even hurt...." Coleen says "When I was getting married... I got my eyebrows done.. and OUCHA... I never went back". Yikes ... I can't do this. So the gal looks and Jenny and says "You wan you eyebrow wax?" and Jenny says "Yes, and Patti can watch me and see it is not painful and there is nothing to be scared of."
After our nice relaxing pedicure... we traveled to the back of the salon. Had no idea there was a room back there for this kind of thing... as I have always plucked them one by one at home in the privacy of my OWN bathroom. Jenny lays down... on goes the wax. Jenny doesn't even flinch. So.. I am next... I'ma scared. I want to go home right about now. I lay down. I close my eyes and she lets 'em RIP! I believe the words that came out of my mouth were "Yip", and "Youch". All in all it was a good experience, it wasn't nearly as painful as I had ever thought it would. I was always afraid I would walk out with a pencil think eyebrow. Now,... the toes are done and look good, and the eyebrows are much more shapely and trimmed than I could ever get them. Next time... it's Coleen's turn!!!
