Keeping Traditions

Since the kids were small; we have made Gingerbread Houses. We never do it from scratch... a kit is ENOUGH for me! Things have changed over the years... Cameron isn't as interested in them; but Nick and Allyson still love a Gingerbread House Day! I decided to make it a Contest this time. Each child had a construction partner; and Steve would be the judge.

Cameron had his girlfriend Jordan over to help him, Nick had his friend Paul; and Allyson had ME! I thought for SURE we would win. I know every gingerbread technique in the book... all the way down to the icicles hanging off the front of the house!

When the Ginger-Judge arrived; he had several different grading categories. Best use of Color; Best in Architecture; and all over BEST house. Paul and Nick won Best in Architecture; Allyson and I got best in Color; and Cameron and Jordan WON!
